Philips OneBlade Pro QP6650/61 review: a powerful shaver, but nothing groundbreaking

The Philips OneBlade Pro QP6650/61 follows in the footsteps of the previous models by offering a powerful, flexible shave. Priced at around 99 €, it reflects Philips’ aim to provide a device capable of taking care of your beard, body and sensitive areas. This version is still convincing, even if it does not bring any major innovations compared with the older model.

A design focused on comfort

The design stays true to the OneBlade look, with a slim blade, a yellow back and a recognisable style. The handle is wider than on the previous model, but it still offers excellent ergonomics. The front is made of matte chrome-effect plastic, the back of textured rubber foam for a secure grip. The device is waterproof and suitable for use in the shower or with shaving foam. The set includes several trimming combs, including one adjustable to 14 lengths, plus a hard case for easy storage and travel.

A close, precise shave

Thanks to blades making 200 movements per second, the OneBlade Pro delivers a shave that is clean, fast and irritation-free. It performs especially well on delicate areas, such as around the lips or near the nostrils. The precision comb allows for accurate beard styling, while the blade’s flexibility makes multidirectional movements easier.

Battery life that exceeds expectations

Although Philips claims 120 minutes of battery life, testing shows it can run for 171 minutes continuously without overheating. The LCD screen accurately displays the remaining time, which is very handy for planning your shaves. You don’t need to put the device back on its stand after every use, which makes it more practical day to day.

A quiet device that’s easy to maintain

With a noise level between 65 and 73 dB, the OneBlade Pro is pleasant to use. Maintenance is quick: a rinse under the tap or blowing off the blade is enough. For a deeper clean, Philips recommends using alcohol. The blades last around 4 months, and replacing both costs about 15 €.

Conclusion

The Philips OneBlade Pro QP6650/61 keeps its strong points: versatility, precision and extended battery life. Even if it doesn’t introduce any real breakthroughs, it remains a solid option if you want a versatile, long-lasting shaver.
